What is the homemade bubble bath made from:

Most of the ingredients in this bubble bath are basic ingredients you can find easily in the grocery store or online. They are also cost-effective and a little goes a long way!

A Natural surfactant like coco glucoside or decyl glucoside:

This is the secret ingredient in making a bubble bath with lots of bubbles! Surfactants not only cause the sudsing, but it is also a cleaning agent. I think coco glucoside works the best as it lathers up the most and is still gentle on skin!

Vegetable Glycerin:

Vegetable glycerin is a natural humectant, which means it draws water to the skin which helps hydrate the skin.

Castile Soap:

Castile soap is a cleansing agent that is made from natural ingredients like palm oils or vegetable oils. This liquid soap is a gentle cleansing agent.

Citric Acid:

Citric acid is a natural preservative in your bubble bath. It will prevent your bubble bath from molding or going bad.

Distilled Water:

Make sure your water is distilled or using a great filter. Not a filter like Brita. This is because your solution could potentially mold if you use regular water.

Essential Oils

You can use many essential oil blends in this bubble bath with lots of bubbles. These natural oils provide scent and other comforts depending on your blend.

My favorite essential oil blend is grapefruit and bergamot. However, you can use lavender, citrus, orange oil, or any blend you want!
